10.10.2024 | Central government is prepared to provide capital funding totalling EUR 58 million this year and next year to the Foundation for the Finnish Museum of Architecture and Design. The return on capital will enable the work of a world-class museum in a new building in Helsinki. 22.1.2025 | Finland has nominated a series of 13 properties designed by architect Alvar Aalto's office for inclusion in the World Heritage List. The properties, named "Aalto Works", represent Aalto's modern and humane architecture. Priset är värt 15 000 euro och delades ut av kultur- och idrottsminister Paavo Arhinmäki på torsdagen i Helsingfors. Arbetsparet grafiska planeraren, illustratören och bildkonstnären Aimo Katajamäki samt inredningsarkitekten Päivi Meuronen erhöll statspriset för design. Statspriset för konst gick till performanskonstnären Irma Optimisti, dvs. Irma Luhta. Prisen delades ut av kultur- och idrottsminister Paavo Arhinmäki på fredagen i Helsingfors.
