The discretionary government grant is intended for sport science research projects that were awarded funding by the Ministry of Education and Culture for 2020 or 2021 and have received a conditional decision on further funding for 2022. The funding is granted to research projects in the form of a special grant.
In order for the applicant to receive further funding, Parliament must allocate sufficient appropriations to sport science research and the research must have progressed as planned. The application must contain an account of the progress made in the research and a description of any changes that may have taken place in the project.
Research communities with legal capacity may apply for the funding.
The application period starts on 14 October 2021.
The application period closes on 18 November 2021 at 16.15.
The Ministry of Education and Culture may help fund research projects in sport science on condition that Parliament allocates appropriations for this purpose.
Decisions on further projects will be made in January 2022. Applicants will be informed of the decisions in writing.
