The Council’s agenda includes vocational education and training, the European Education Area, the Erasmus+ programme, the importance of culture for democratic resilience, the AgoraEU programme, and democracy and transparency in sport. The Oulu European Capital of Culture 2026 project will also be presented at the meeting.

26.6.2017 | The EU’s Erasmus+ programmes national mid-term evaluation is completed. This is a mid-term evaluation report concerning the implementation of the programme in Finland. The European Commission and the Member States are required to submit such a report halfway through the programme period. The Erasmus+ programme period covers the years 2014–2020.

Partnerships between Finnish and Latin American higher education institutions (HEIs) have been growing significantly in recent years. Latin America has been the most popular partner region for Finnish HEIs in both Erasmus+ programme and the Finnish National Agency for Education's Team Finland Knowledge programme.
