Social Inclusion and Diversity in Nordic ECEC – research and practice
Location: Hotel Scandic Grand Central Helsinki, Vilhonkatu 13, 00100 Helsinki
As a part of Finland's and Åland’s Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland will organise a conference titled “Social inclusion and dialogue in Nordic ECEC - Research and practice”.
The conference will focus on research on the abovementioned theme and the development of good practices in the Nordic countries. The conference will focus especially on the participation of children with an immigrant background in early childhood education and care, as well as on supporting their linguistic development.
The keynote speaker will be Michel Vandenbroeck, Emeritus Professor at the University of Ghent from Belgium. In addition, we will hear presentations by Nordic researchers, as well as receive an overview of the work of EU-level actors.
The conference will be held in English and is free of charge. The conferense is full at the moment, but it is possible to follow the programme remotely.
