Finland's Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2025 in the branch of government of the Ministry of Education and Culture

Finland will hold the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2025 in collaboration with the Government of Åland. The shared Nordic region vision of the prime ministers guides the Nordic Council of Ministers towards the most sustainable and integrated Nordic Region in the world by 2030.

Finland will hold the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2025 in collaboration with the Government of Åland. The shared Nordic region vision of the prime ministers guides the Nordic Council of Ministers towards the most sustainable and integrated Nordic Region in the world by 2030.

During its Presidency, Finland will focus particularly on comprehensive public security, including strengthening resilience and preparedness for crises. Another key objective is to advocate the rights of children and young people and to increase wellbeing and inclusion in the Nordic Region. 
The programme for the Presidency highlights cultural cooperation between the Nordic countries as well as cultural diversity, inclusiveness and equality.

The programme also emphasises safeguarding good educational standards and competence at all levels of education, multidisciplinary research, and decision-making that relies on research-based knowledge.
