Frequently Asked Questions for the Team Finland Knowledge Network
On this page we have compiled questions and answers for the Team Finland Knowledge network and its operation.
The TFK network aims to support all Finnish higher education actors to the best of its ability. Primarily, we serve higher education networks and individual institutions. Depending on time and resources, we also support research groups and individual researchers.
Our primary focus is on Finnish higher education institutions and, when necessary, companies connected to them. For other business collaboration, we recommend contacting Business Finland.
The main focus of TFK activities is on higher education cooperation. However, when resources allow, we also promote cooperation in primary and secondary education, especially when Finnish higher education actors are involved.
When possible, we assist in establishing connections with stakeholders in the target country, preferably as part of national cooperation initiatives. We also organize events at embassies, particularly in connection with visits by larger delegations.
We support the activities of Study in Finland and help higher education institutions build partnerships and organize student recruitment events on campuses.
We actively and consistently work to identify and create opportunities for strategic research, innovation, and funding cooperation. This requires close interaction with national and international research funders.
- Subscribe to the TFK newsletter
- Participate in webinars and other events.
- Join campus visits organized by the network.
The steering group is chaired by Director General Sirkku Linna from the Ministry of Education and Culture. Members include representatives from both rector councils (ARENE and UNIFI), the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. The contact person at the Ministry of Education and Culture is Senior Ministerial Adviser Tiina Vihma-Purovaara.
