Welcome to the Cooperation Between Home and School in a Multilingual and Multicultural Everyday Context Webinar on Tue 27 January, 12:00–14:30!

The Finnish Parents’ League (Suomen Vanhempainliitto) and the Federation Home and School in Finland (Förbundet Hem och Skola i Finland) were commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Culture to map home–school cooperation in an increasingly multilingual and multicultural everyday environment. The survey is part a larger programme supporting the basic skills of students with an immigrant background and KIEPPI -project, led by the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Finnish National Agency for Education, and the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre (FINEEC).

The results of the survey will be presented in a webinar organised together with the Ministry of Education and Culture on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, from 12:00 to 14:30.

The webinar will present practices and challenges of multilingual and multicultural home–school cooperation based on interviews with parents, school and project professionals, research, and practices from other Nordic countries. Based on the survey, development recommendations will also be provided for improving cooperation with families. The webinar will also feature contributions from parents, school professionals, and project actors.

The main language of the webinar is Finnish, but some presentations will be given in Swedish or English. We will follow the principles of a safe space at the event.

You are warmly welcome to join!
