The shared situation picture of higher education and research will be updated. The vision for higher education and research will be reformed until 2040 and the measures needed to implement it will be identified.

Summary

Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö on käynnistänyt korkeakoulutuksen ja tutkimuksen vision uudistamisen. Visiotyössä on tarkoitus vastata yhteiskunnallisiin muutoksiin sekä luoda korkeakoulutuksen ja tutkimuksen kehittämisen pitkän aikavälin suuntaviivoja. Työssä luodaan visio vuoteen 2040 ja tunnistetaan tarvittavat toimenpiteet vision saavuttamiseks

The environment in which higher education institutions operate has changed significantly since 2017. The new vision aims to respond to the changes in society and to formulate long-term guidelines for enhancing higher education and research. The vision extends to 2040 and will identify the required measures to achieve the vision.
