Copyright societies

Copyright societies represent authors, performing artists and other copyright holders in their respective fields, and administer their rights. Among other things, they collect and distribute copyright remunerations to rightholders. Certain societies approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture may operate as extended collective licensing organisations. In addition, the Ministry may assign to copyright societies special tasks related to certain remunerations.
