Kalliomäki appointed Minister of Education
Antti Kalliomäki (SDP), Member of Parliament, teacher (Physical Education), was appointed Minister of Education and Science in Matti Vanhanen's Government at the presidential session on Friday. He will transfer from the post of Minister of Finance, while the current Minister of Education and Science Tuula Haatainen will transfer to the position of Minister of Social Affairs and Health.
At the Ministry of Education, Antti Kalliomäki, Minister of Education and Science, will be responsible for matters related to education, training and science. Mr Vesa Vuorenkoski, who assisted Ms Haatainen, will continue as Political Advisor to the Minister of Education and Science.
