IB diploma scores in spring 2020
The spring 2020 session examinations for the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma programme were cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation. Grades were awarded through a specially prepared IB awarding model which took into account other elements of student performance, such as essays included in the diploma programme.
On 17 July 2020, the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), the administrative organisation in charge of the IB diploma programme, contacted the schools organising the IB diploma programme and offered them an opportunity to review the grade awarding criteria and, if necessary, to reassess student performance. However, the IBO stressed that such a reassessment would not necessarily result in higher grades.
Students taking the IB examinations are advised to contact their own school for more details and advice.
More information is available on the IBO website.
