9.10.2025 | Students from non-EU countries will in future be required to pay tuition fees in both general upper secondary education and vocational education and training. These students will therefore no longer be included in the system of central government transfers to local government. 10.10.2024 | Central government is prepared to provide capital funding totalling EUR 58 million this year and next year to the Foundation for the Finnish Museum of Architecture and Design. The return on capital will enable the work of a world-class museum in a new building in Helsinki. 9.11.2023 | Minister of Science and Culture Sari Multala has launched a report on cultural policy. The preparatory work will be carried out with broad-based involvement of the cultural sector. The report is included in the Programme of Prime Minister Petteri Orpo's Government.
