The Ministry of Education and Culture invites stakeholders and actors in the higher education and research sector to continue the joint discussion on the future. With a shared vision, Finland can respond to global and societal changes and shape the future we want.

The common goals for higher education and research up to 2040 will be defined during the autumn. Through the online survey, participants can reflect on issues such as how higher education and research-based knowledge can remain at the core of society, or how young people could be encouraged to pursue research careers.

Participate in the survey by 18 September

Discussion events in September and October

The discussion on the vision’s objectives will continue in an open seminar on 10 October. The seminar can be attended in person in Helsinki or followed online.

Vision seminar programme and registration (in Finnish)

A virtual morning coffee session on 25 September will present the progress of the vision work and discuss the next steps. The session will be held in English and is particularly aimed at international students and staff.
