Eeva-Riitta Pirhonen appointed as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture for a fixed term

Minister of Education Anders Adlercreutz has appointed Eeva-Riitta Pirhonen, Director General of the Department for Early Childhood Education, Comprehensive School Education and Liberal Adult Education, as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture for a fixed term starting on 1 May 2025.

Eeva-Riitta Pirhonen will perform the duties of the Permanent Secretary until 17 August 2025 or until the post is filled through an application procedure.

Ministerial Adviser Minna Polvinen has been appointed to the post of Director General for the period when Director General Pirhonen serves as Permanent Secretary.
