Competition to find a name for the figurehead of Finnish Model for Leisure Activities launched on 14 September

The Ministry of Education and Culture launches a competition to find a name for the H Figure - the figurehead of the Finnish Model for Leisure Activities. Every pupil or student in the Finnish primary and lower secondary education is invited to participate.

The purpose of the competition is to find the best possible name for the H Figure, the figurehead of the Finnish Model for Leisure Activities. The competition is intended for pupils and students in the Finnish primary and lower secondary education (grades 1 to 10), and the suggested names will be sent by the teacher. Suggestions for the name will be accepted from schools all over Finland until 3 October. 

The ten best candidates will be selected by pole vaulter Wilma Murto and dance artist Atte Kilpinen. The pupils and students will vote for the winner.
The person who came up with the best name will be rewarded, and the whole class will get reflective hobby bags.

Find a suitable name for the H Figure. Tell your suggestion to your teacher, who will keep a list of all the names your class has suggested and will send them by 3 October to: [email protected]

A parent can also send the suggestion.

The vote:

The winner will be announced on the websites of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Finnish Model for Leisure Activities by 8 November.
