26.2.2020 | Den 26 februari 2020 tog forsknings- och kulturminister Hanna Kosonen emot förslaget till statsandelsreform för performativ konst som utarbetats av en arbetsgrupp som leddes av statssekreterare Tuomo Puumala. Arbetsgruppens förslag har beretts i nära samarbete med aktörer på fältet.

16.1.2023 | Minister of Science and Culture Petri Honkonen will visit Washington D.C. in the United States this week from 16 to 19 January 2023. He will meet with several high-level stakeholders in research, higher education and culture. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cooperation and dialogue with the United States in sectors connected to the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland.

19.11.2019 | Minister of Science and Culture Hanna Kosonen will chair the Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council meeting in Brussels on 21–22 November. The meeting will focus on culture and sustainable development, the competitiveness of the audiovisual sector, combating corruption in sport, safe sport for children and young people, education and training of youth workers, and digital youth work. Culture and sport are on the agenda on 21 November and youth affairs on 22 November.

15.3.2019 | As the first ever Nordic country, Finland hosted the International Summit on the Teaching Profession (ISTP) on 14 and 15 March 2019. The Summit brought delegations of ministers and deputy ministers from 21 countries across the world to Finland. Minister of Education and Culture Sanni Grahn-Laasonen and President of the Trade Union of Education Olli Luukkainen led the Finnish delegation. Early childhood education and care was included in the Summit’s key themes, also for the first time.

14.1.2021 | På grund av coronapandemin ordnas Europarådets idrottsministermöte virtuellt fredagen den 15 januari 2021. Finland representeras vid mötet av forsknings- och kulturminister Annika Saarikko. Europarådets virtuella rundabordssamtal sammanför 50 idrottsministrar och deras företrädare. I diskussionen deltar också europeiska idrottsorganisationer samt WADA, KOK, IPC och FIFA som observatörer.
