3.11.2017 | Parliament has ratified the Faro Framework Convention and passed a bill bringing into force the provisions of a legislative nature of the Convention in Finland. The Faro Convention emphasises the role of cultural heritage as a common and valuable resource, the diversity of cultural heritage, and the significance of cultural heritage as a resource for sustainable economic development. 28.4.2017 | The government has on 28 April 2017 agreed on the general government finance plan for 2018-2021. The level of the allocated appropriation for the Ministry of Education and Culture is 6.3 billion euros in 2021. 12.10.2017 | In its resolution of 12 October, the Government outlined measures to be taken to promote young people’s growth and living conditions during the remainder of the government term. The National Youth Work and Youth Policy Programme is a cross-sectoral programme drawn up under the new Youth Act. The programme will be adopted as a government resolution every four years.
